Launch of the Post-Conference Report from the ROCK Annual Conference 2024

On 7 July 2025, Together joined colleagues from the Rights of the Child UK (ROCK) Steering Group to launch the Post-Conference Report from the ROCK Annual Conference 2024 – a day that brought together over 90 children’s rights advocates, decision-makers and academics from across the UK, Jersey and Iceland. The conference offered a vital opportunity to reflect on progress – and gaps – in how children’s rights are being taken forward in law, policy and practice across the UK. Speakers shared updates from each jurisdiction, drew on international experience, and explored how best to respond to the UN Committee’s 2023 Concluding Observations.

Children's Rights Skills and Knowledge Framework

We're delighted that the Children's Rights Skills and Knowledge Framework is now available. 

The Framework provides access to resources and training on children’s rights and on taking a children’s human rights approach.

The resources can be used across a wide range of sectors, giving users an enhanced understanding of how they can respect, protect and fulfil children’s rights.

OUT NOW! State of Children's Rights Report 2024

Our 2024 report is grounded in the stories of 220 babies, children and young people aged nine months to 17 years old.

Through their words, artwork and other forms of expression, they highlight what it feels like when their rights are upheld, the challenges they face and their ideas for a better future.

The report explores their experiences at home, nursery, school, college, local communities, online and in Scotland as a whole.

22nd July 2025 — Babies and early years
Research launch: Access to Justice for Babies and Young Children Across 12 Jurisdictions Report

Today, in partnership with the University of Edinburgh’s LLM in Human Rights Law, we are launching a timely report to showcase ongoing efforts to ensure that children’s rights are meaningfully realised in Scotland. It follows the work of Together’s “Tiny Rights Detectives” project, which explored how the youngest children experience and understand their rights.

22nd July 2025 —

Together’s Director runs 100km to raise funds for children’s rights and mark one year since UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Act came into force.


A huge congratulations to our Director, Juliet Harris, who successfully completed the Lakeland Trails Ultra 2025, a demanding 100km run through the Lake District in support of children’s rights. This was the furthest distance Juliet has ever run, with the route including over 3,000 metres of elevation across challenging hills and trails.

One year on: UNCRC Act celebrated across Scotland


Tuesday 16th July 2024 marked a milestone moment for children’s rights in Scotland with the commencement of the UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Act 2024 (‘the Act’) this month, we celebrate one full year of this landmark legislation being in force. Together celebrates a year of progress and renewed commitment to children's rights.

Independent human rights fund for Scotland provides support for human rights defenders


The Independent Human Rights Fund for Scotland (delivered by Corra on behalf of a partnership of funders) has announced new grants worth £125,000 to support organisations working with Human Rights Defenders across the country.
